The break down and fix issue with PES 2014

What went wrong with PES 2014? Here is somewhat of a breakdown with the patch issues, starting from day one. The day one patch made it difficult, if impossible for many to get online to rival their friends in a match. This problem was isolated to the Xbox 360 version, in which a patch was meant to make sure that all of the players had retained the same information about leagues, clubs, and other info. Instead, after the player had a long wait to even get the patch, once downloaded he/she got an error message that the patch that downloaded was not even valid.

Konami is not without merit on the situation however, and has said that a new patch is on the way that will ensure players can get online without problems. Along with the working patch fix, other new features are being implemented too, along with an 11vs11 multiplayer match mode.

It's been almost a month now since Pro Evolution Soccer (Winning Eleven) launched across the world, and I don't recall ever seeing it this bad. But then again, the latest PES game has undergone a massive transition in not only terms of its game play mechanics, but also the Fox Engine treatment it's had. Oh well, there's always next year for what could have been a real comeback.
