This winter will see the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Gekitotsu! Duel Carnival, which is the first dueling simulator containing over 5000 cards to battle with

Another instance where Japan gets all the good stuff, but if we are lucky the western part of the world just might get a dose of this new title. Konami has announced that it has a new Nintendo 3DS game in development called Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Gekitotsu! Duel Carnival. What is so special about this new Yu-Gi-Oh! game? This is the first of its kind to offer a dueling simulation that is the same as playing the traditional trading card game itself. Having played other titles in the series, I personally would love to get my hands on this one. A nice addition to take on the road for your 3DS.

Monsters from the Zexal anime series are included, and you will have the ability to choose from over 40 characters to play as the protagonist. A total of 5,500 cards are included, which also includes recent powerful cards to choose from. Currently the new Yu-Gi-Oh! game is slated for a Japan release this coming winter.

Will it arrive elsewhere in the world is any one's guess, so here is hoping. For more information on the series and recent events, be sure to check out the official site if you like. Don't forget that this coming July 27th is "Yu-Gi-Oh! day", and you can participate in a tournament if you can find a store hosting a dueling event. As of right now the site only indicates that alone and promises more information will be posted soon. As soon as they do, I will post it here as always.

UPDATE - The news for Yu-Gi-Oh! day and demo day has just been posted, and you can read all about it here
