Dungeons and Dragons makes its way to the casino thanks to licensing agreement with Hasbro

This is an interesting twist. Some of us already know that Konami also has its hands in not only the arcade and console industry, but also the casino business as well. Imagine that. You can literally find a Castlevania slot machine to play if you actually know where to look for it. Well guess what?, it doesn't stop there, in fact it doesn't even stop with Konami's own brand of games like Castlevania. Now it includes Dungeons and Dragons. But wait, isn't that a Hasbro brand? Yes, but it's now also a Konami brand because Hasbro and Konami have reached an agreement for the licensing of the D&D name.

The senior vice president of digital media and gaming Mark Blecher of Hasbro made this statement recently regarding the agreement with Konami games development. "“Dungeons & Dragons is known for delivering entertaining experiences across a variety of platforms, and we are pleased to be partnering with Konami to bring D&D fans yet another expression of the brand through casino gaming.”

The chief operating officer Steve Sutherland  at Konami added to this by saying, "“Konami is very particular about the brands we choose to license. In Hasbro, we found a collaborative partner with a shared vision of product development. Therefore, we are excited about working with Hasbro to create gaming products that leverage the robust nature of Dungeon & Dragons and reflect the Konami brand.”

So it looks like you're about to witness a full fledged D&D slot machine being made soon. It's definitely going to be interesting to see the end result, especially after Konami gets their hands upon it. Personally I'm not much of a gambler, but this is one of the more intriguing concepts that I've seen in a while. The world of Dungeons and Dragons meets the casino business, who would've thought it would happen?, and yet it did. More on this later as development of it unfolds. Cheers.
